Grand Tetons

Almost an extension of Yellowstone, if you leave that park from the south, the Tetons emerge with their majestic ragged edges, periodically ducking behind some older version, more smoothed out version of mountains. We could hardly keep eyes on the road, hands on steering wheels as we cruised to the next camping spot at their base. Distance is relative here.

At first it seemed we would have to move on, but we found an amazing spot in a wide open meadow again right along a river. The skies match the land since we left Wisconsin - infinitely expansive. You feel your place in the world.
